Tanya Alteras

Tanya Alteras joined the Health Care Transformation Task Force as a Senior Director in 2021. Tanya brings over twenty years of experience in health care payment and delivery transformation, with expertise in value-based payment and care delivery, maternity care, quality measurement, and CMS/CMMI payment programs and models. Tanya came to the Task Force from MITRE, where among her efforts she served as the deputy for the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN), and supported CMMI in the regulatory process for the Radiation Oncology (RO) model. Tanya has also served as Senior Director for the former Consumer-Purchaser Alliance at the National Partnership for Women & Families, and as a social science analyst in the Office of the Assistance Secretary for Policy and Evaluation (ASPE) at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Tanya has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Binghamton University and received her Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. Originally from Queens, New York, she moved to Washington D.C. in the mid-90s, where she lives with her husband Mark, their two children, and her two dogs who are a constant presence in her home office and have become very fluent in health care payment policy.
