16 Jul Implementing Value-Based Musculoskeletal Care in Integrated Health Systems Through Digital Clinical Models
The Health Care Transformation Task Force released a new case study featuring a value-based musculoskeletal (MSK) care partnership between Henry Ford Health, Health Alliance Plan by Henry Ford Health, and Protera Health. The case study highlights how digital care, timely specialty evaluation, coordinated wraparound services, and aligned financial incentives can improve outcomes while reducing avoidable MSK-related costs.
The model has shown improvement in physical health or pain scores for 85% of members who completed the MSK program. The program also resulted in more than $10,000 in savings compared to usual care with an MSK specialist and more than $15,000 in savings compared to usual care with a physical therapist.
This publication is part of a series of case studies on value-based specialty integration.
