HCTTF Supports LAN’s New Goals to Advance Value-based Payment Transformation

Statement by Jeff Micklos, Executive Director, Health Care Transformation Task Force

“The Health Care Transformation Task Force commends the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN) for its leadership in accelerating the health care industry’s move to value-based payment transformation. HCTTF supports the LAN’s new goals which challenge health care organizations to move toward shared accountability models in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial business.

As organizations committed to value-based payment transformation, HCTTF members are leading the way with 52 percent of their business in value-based payment arrangements at the end of 2018 and aspire to reach 75 percent by the end of 2020. Greater shared accountability is an important part of our mission. We look forward to working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on policies and programs that will help pave a path forward to meet the LAN’s bold new Medicare goals. A system that puts individuals first, lowers cost, and produces high quality outcomes for patients and communities is within our reach.”
