21 Sep Webinar: Maternal Health Hub – Promoting Equity and Value in Maternity Care
The Health Care Transformation Task Force hosted a webinar highlighting the launch of the Maternal Health Hub Learning Community! The Maternal Health Hub compiles resources and best practices to advance a vision for high-value and equitable maternity care and serves as a forum for all maternal health stakeholders – including providers, payers, patient advocates, purchasers, community-based organizations, policymakers and others – that are committed to advancing high-value maternity care by sharing their experience, best practices, and challenges with others.
This kick-off of the learning community shared findings from a recently published report, Promoting Equity and Value in Maternity Care, which describes why equity must be treated as a central value, on par with other key values such as quality and cost, in any value-based models for maternity care. The report offers a framework for change with promising interventions and improvement strategies to achieve meaningful change by marrying a value-based system with a culture of health equity and enabling public policies.
