Webinar: LAN 2.0 Goals: Accelerating the Adoption of Two-Sided Risk APMs

The Health Care Transformation Task Force and the Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network (LAN) hosted a webinar with Mark McClellan, MD, co-chair of the LAN CEO Forum and founding HCTTF Board member. The webinar highlighted the LAN’s new goals to accelerate the percentage of US health care payments tied to quality and value in each market segment through the adoption of two-sided risk alternative payment models, and how it aims to support the field in rapidly moving to value-based payment.

Speakers

  • Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, Robert J. Margolis Professor of Business, Medicine, and Health Policy, and founding Director of the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy at Duke University
  • Jeff Micklos, JD, Executive Director of the Health Care Transformation Task Force

The LAN is an active group of public and private health care leaders dedicated to providing thought leadership, strategic direction, and ongoing support to accelerate our care system’s adoption of alternative payment models (APMs). The LAN mobilizes payers, providers, purchasers, patients, product manufacturers, policymakers, and other stakeholders in a shared mission to improve patient experiences and outcomes, lower care costs, reduce the barriers to APM participation, and promote shared accountability. Since 2015, health care stakeholders have looked to the LAN to help focus their efforts around core APM design components, to share information and inspire action, to bring together stakeholders and build consensus among leaders, and measure the progress of APM adoption.
