21 Jan HCTTF Statement on Extending the Advanced APM Bonus
Statement by Theresa Dreyer, CEO
The Health Care Transformation Task Force (HCTTF) applauds Congress for including an extension of the Advanced Alternative Payment Model (APM) bonus at 3.1% and freezing the qualifying thresholds in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026. Extending this incentive reflects the bipartisan belief that value-based payment models remain essential for improving quality and lowering health care costs.
Advanced APMs help providers deliver high-value care beyond traditional fee-for-service. Incentives like the Advanced APM bonus offer important financial support that allows health systems, clinicians, and care teams to invest in care redesign, technology, and services that drive better outcomes. HCTTF is also pleased to see the telehealth and hospital at home extensions, which improve access to care for patients.
