Statement by Jeff Micklos, Executive Director, HCTTF

The Health Care Transformation Task Force applauds today’s introduction of the Value in Health Care Act of 2023 in the House of Representatives. Our members appreciate the leadership of the six bi-partisan Representatives who are championing this important legislation. The bill contains several policies that align with Task Force priorities, including extending value-based care incentives, ensuring that participants join and remain in existing value-based payment models, and evaluating parity opportunities between Traditional Medicare’s alternate payment models and Medicare Advantage policies. We look forward to working with these leaders to drive toward passage of legislation that will transform the Medicare program into a system that better pays for value of care over volume of services.
