Frederick Isasi (Pronunciation: ee-saa-cee), J.D., M.P.H., is executive director of Families USA (FUSA), one of the nation’s leading nonprofit, nonpartisan health care advocacy organizations established to ensure the best health and health care are equally accessible and affordable to all. Before joining FUSA, Isasi was a division director at the bipartisan National Governors Association and vice president and founder of the health policy department at the Advisory Board Company. Isasi also previously served as senior legislative counsel on health care for U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.), which allowed him to apply years of leadership from the health care industry. As a national thought leader and subject matter expert on the social issues and solutions surrounding health care affordability, driving value into health care, equitable health care and high-quality coverage, Isasi has testified often at congressional hearings and is regularly featured in national media outlets, including The New York Times, NBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. He holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. A Cuban-American, Isasi is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and resides in Washington, D.C.
