There is growing interest from the health care industry in the non-clinical factors that influence the health and well-being of the populations they serve. Health care providers, payers, and purchasers are starting to explore ways that they can impact food insecurity, housing instability, access to transportation, and the safety and environmental quality of neighborhoods. The webinar provided an overview of three critical concepts 1) social determinants of health, 2) social risk factors, and 3) social needs and how Task Force members are engaging in each area.
