Webinar: Payer and Provider Health Equity Strategies

Advancing health equity is a critical element of health care quality that directly ties to improved patient experiences and outcomes. Addressing disparities in health care access, quality, and outcomes is a moral imperative. It is also a smart business decision – preventing disease and avoiding emergencies saves money. Payers and providers play a vital role in this effort by designing and implementing value-based care delivery models and payment arrangements that enhance high-quality, coordinated patient care.

On November 20, Theresa Dreyer, Interim Executive Director of the Task Force, and Charlotte Burnett, Director of the Task Force, presented key payer and provider strategies for advancing health equity in value-based care models found in both the Payer Health Equity and the Provider Health Equity resources.

This work builds upon the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network’s (LAN) theoretical framework and the Task Force’s prior health equity work, including: the Raising the Bar framework and the Health Equity Business Case.
